Blue Skies Firearms Academy is not just a shooting range. We pride ourselves as being a benefit to the community by providing education for safe, capable & trustworthy gun owners.

 

Our instructor is a husband and father of 3 children that has over 38 years of experience through the military, municipal and Federal Law Enforcement.

FUNDAMENTALS

No one was born immediately walking or running. Just like a lot of things, shooting a handgun is a learned skill and a dimmishing one at that if you don't practice. This skill is based on the fundamentals that, with practice, will help you become a safe, accurate and responsible gun owner. Whether or not you already have your concealed carry permit, we are where you want to come to be more confident and proficient.

GROUP LESSONS

Our instructors know their stuff and care deeply about your experience. From the moment you choose our range, we do our very best to ensure that your experience is challenging, rewarding and fun. We offer group lessons for your family, police, church or social organization. 

Women Practical Pistol

“A Girl & Her Gun” is a real-world practical pistol self-defense class that is designed from the ground up by our instructor to focus on the unique situations women face as well as aspects of women’s carry methods, firearms handling and selection. Instruction will give the student the confidence to effectively deploy a firearm in their defense. Classes are offered as a womens only course. This course is offered either in a group or on an individual setting depending on your comfort level.

PROTECT YOU & YOURS

We offer two personal protection courses to help you protect you and your loved ones. Theses are for more experienced handgun owners to learn the advanced skills in shooting and moving, shooting behind baracades and low-light/night fire instruction. 


Personal Protection Inside the Home -

Designed to address both aspects of a total personal protection stategy in the home. We will cover techniques and strategies to deter burglars, home invaders and other criminals. Course work will be reinforced through live fire skills building. This course is a prerquisite for the Personal Protection Outside the Home course.


Personal Protection Outside the Home -

This course really zeroes in on the skills, attitude and fundementals to defend your life if the unfortunate circumstances arise. There is a lot of live fire range time in this course including low-light/night fire. We offer this class twice a year due to weather and light conditions to make our student confortable & confident.
